The Media Manipulation Technique of Stealth-Editing

Stealth-editing is a very deceptive technique that occurs when a media source changes information without any record of the change being saved. Journalists will retroactively change what he or she wrote without ever stating or letting the public know about the edit in a manner that’s easy to find. So, the lie travels halfway around the world while the truth can’t even put on its shoes, as the saying sort of goes.

However, there are three main ways to detect the edit:

  1. Compare the current article against Google’s cache of the same media source page.

  2. Make use of a web archiving service to identify stealth=edits.

  3. A final method is to maintain a balanced media diet since the stealth-edit of a leftist source will often be brought to light by a conservative source.

Who would think that it would be such a challenging and time-consuming process to get to the truth?

An excellent example of stealth-editing involves Reuters claiming Trump sought a monopoly on a Covid-19 vaccine. After learning that they (Reuters) had published a blatant lie, the article was then stealth-edited to remove the lie. However, many other news outlets had already shared the article before the correction was made. Indeed, a lie travels around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes. And so now, unfortunately, many people believe this vaccine lie. Luckily, Breitbart brought truth to the situation by exposing this rather disgusting use the of the stealth-edit manipulation technique.

Yes, journalists make mistakes, we all do, but when they cover it up you know the media source does not even try to care about honest journalism.

Always remain vigilant against the lies and manipulation of an increasingly deceptive mainstream media that has nearly lost all integrity.

"Media manipulation in the U.S. today is more efficient than it was in Nazi Germany, because here we have the pretense that we are getting all the information we want. That misconception prevents people from even looking for the truth."
